NAIT Optical Sciences Programs

LEARN THE ART OF BETTER VISION. Train to become a Licensed Optician or expand your scope in the field with NAITs accredited Optical Sciences Programs. Work while you learn with online theory courses complemented by on-the-job clinical training. Programs are offered at both entry-level and advanced options for experienced Opticians.

Eyeglasses

This four-semester diploma program, offered in both English and French will give you the knowledge and skills required of a Licensed Optician in the fitting and supplying of eyeglasses.

Contact Lenses

This two-semester advanced practice certificate program, offered in both English and French,will give you the knowledge and skills required to fit and dispense contact lenses.

Refraction

This program is intended for Licensed Contact Lens Opticians who wish to enhance their opticianry skill set by learning theories and methodologies involved in refraction. Online studies are 15-weeks in length, the clinical is 6 months.
