NB OPTICIANS GATHER AT CONNECT NB IN MONCTON
Moncton, NB – Opticians and industry professionals gathered at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Beausejour on April 7th for a day filled with learning, networking, and delightful culinary experiences. The event, OAC Connect NB, organised by the Opticians Association of Canada (OAC), brought together 70 opticians, all members of the OAC, for a continuing education and networking event. 
The day kicked off at 8:30 AM and promised a full schedule until 5 PM, with an impressive lineup of speakers who travelled from as far as Ontario, Vancouver, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, with some even driving over from nearby Nova Scotia. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences provided a rich tapestry of knowledge and insights, beneficial for all attendees eager to stay at the forefront of optical science and business.
Sponsored by the Opticians Association of New Brunswick (OANB) and The Optical Group, the event was not only educational but also exceptionally hospitable. A highlight of the day was the lunch sponsored by the OANB, which allowed attendees to mingle and discuss the morning's learnings while enjoying a delicious meal prepared by the skilled chefs of the Delta Hotels by Marriott Beausejour.
The networking continued into the early afternoon with a Dessert Sampling and Mocktails session. This event featured representatives from Hilco and the OANB meeting with opticians, offering numerous giveaways that added an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings. The OAC also prepared a surprise for their attendees, adding an element of anticipation and fun to the day’s schedule. 
Mid-afternoon saw another gastronomic delight as The Optical Group sponsored a nacho bar. This informal and enjoyable snack time provided a perfect backdrop for further discussions and connections among the opticians and speakers. It offered a relaxed atmosphere for participants to exchange ideas and build professional relationships, proving that learning can be both fun and flavorful.
